  • Cynthia ~ Bakersplace '59 Squarebird Convertible

Here is what new owner Cynthia had to say about finding us and her Tbird, and a pic of it.

"Hello Ray, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of the cool-kids club. I am excited to be a part of the Squarebirds and looking forward to learning a lot about the coolest car ever built.

I am attaching a copy of the vin plate for you and am sending pictures of my car also. I am curious if this is the same car as Ken Wolfe (pictured on the website) as this car did come out of North Florida originally.

I am the fourth owner of Sunshine, whom Iíve aptly named after all the bright sunny days ahead of us. A couple weeks ago I purchased from a gentleman out of Oakwood, Illinois, who in 2012 purchased from a gentleman out of Chicago, Il (maintained in a high-rise garage), and the first owner was said to be out of Northern Florida.

Sunshine is all original and needs some work on her transmission and rear axle as far as engine work goes. She does need a new soft top which is first on my list. She has a decent paint job with minor rust in her wheel wells which I intend to get to that too.

I took her to our first car show this past weekend in Lexington, Kentucky (80 miles away) and she handled real well. I was afraid and proud. Boy, she is gorgeous.

I will be keeping her all original and am looking forward to (finding) the build sheet from the factory as I want her the exact way she came from the floor.

I am following you guys on Facebook as well and will hope to be part of shows and clubs near me and would be very cool to meet some club members.

I would love to connect on the phone and talk about the build sheet. (I gave her information on where to look for it when she is inside the car).

Thank you again for welcoming me, I am excited."

Here is a couple of pix of it. It left the factory with a 352, The Color says V (hard to read)=Casino Cream, Black Leather seat covers, a COM and the 3.10 axle. I thought the Tbird was white in this picture but it might be the original pale Casino Cream.
