Hello and greetings from Germany,
thank you very much for the welcome.
My father drove a '59 Squarebird Convertible with the "small" engine. Unfortunately, he traded the car for a '72 Eldorado.
I have dreamed of a Squarebird ever since I started driving and now at 58 years old I have fulfilled that dream. The car was restored by Ken Harkema and is in perfect condition from my point of view. I hope to operate it as a daily driver.
My main hobby is flying my 89 Bonanza around Europe when my time/job allows.

Wolfgang, I was pleased to see your application for membership come through. It is good to have another Tbird owner from your Country! Thanks for posting the photo of your '59. It is beautiful looking and I already know that I would LOVE to consider her for the Squarebirds.org 2024 Calendar! I will give you more information on that later. I wont start working on that until early Fall next year. I just made the 2023 Squarebirds Calendar ready to order. However, to order one and have it shipped to Germany will cost an arm and a leg for posting. They cost $14.47(US) plus $7.95(US) mailing, for $22.42(US) total. Every year of Tbird is accepted for consideration. It has been awhile since I have had a Tbird from your Country to consider. Come January, I will put the entire Calendar on the Forum for the overseas members to download and print out. But I certainly DO want to consider yours. You are very fortunate that you have a Ken Harkema restored Tbird in your possession. Ken is one of the premier restorer of Tbirds of many years, over many years of doing this. I have talked with him a number of times over a good number of years. For those who may not know about Ken and his Tbird history, experience and knowledge, check this out!

He has been restoring Tbirds and other makes for over 40 years. He is Chief Judge & Concours Director for the Vintage Thunderbird Club International for many years. You could not have found a better Tbird!
