**Texas & Louisiana Tbird Clubs Cruise To Hemi Hideout In October!

I am organizing another Cruise to see the John Hovas Hemi Hideout in Brookshire, just west of Houston, Texas, Saturday, October 21st, 2023! Last year we had 6 Texas Tbird Clubs and 250 Tbird owners meet at the Hemi Hideout to view it and meet John Hovas and tour his one in a million Man Cave! It has nothing to do with Tbirds, and everything to do with all the '60-'72 Hemi cars he owns and still drives! There are 3500 oil, gas, gas pumps, Coke machines, and more, plus a '50's Diner inside that HUGE wooden Man Cave! This year, we are shooting to double the number of Tbird Clubs and owners showing up to meet each other and have FUN together!

This Cruise is NOT just for Tbird Clubs but also for any individual Tbird Owners in Texas or surrounding States who would like to join us. The cost is only a $10ea donation which goes to one of the 7 charities he supports. Food at your cost will be provided by their food truck(s) or, if like last year, they used their '50's Diner because their food truck was in the shop for repairs. No one under 12 is allowed in. Rather than put all the details here, IF you are interested in joining us, email me, PM me, or call me and I will send you the information that I just sent out to the VTCI, CTCI and ITC Clubs in my area who have all indicated they either want to join us again or do this for the first time! There are plenty of hotels in that area and I have a list of them. It is a Saturday 10AM-1PM event by invitation only. Those who came from points further away from the Houston area cruised in together on Friday, and checked into a hotel. John Hovas and his able assistant, Shelly Gates, has invited me and all the Tbird Clubs back again. They only do this 4 times a year for Clubs like ours and October is our month this year! I set this up with all the Tbird Clubs last year so they could lock in this date in their 2023 Activities scheduling.

If you would like to see what we experienced last year here is the link to the South Texas Tbird Club that I put on our website last year. Click on the Hemi Hideout link. Also there are video's you can view to show you what to expect. This is something that ya have to experience in person! 12 Tbird Clubs together (we hope) and 500 Tbird Owners, many having driven their Tbirds there to be put on display as you will see in the picture I am attaching.

A Ford Thunderbird club for drivers and Thunderbird automobile enthusiasts. Open to everyone, even for those that just like vintage to modern Thunderbird cars. Located in San Antonio, Texas.

Once again, I have engineered another Cruise to see the John Hovas "Hemi Hideout" for all those who did not get to see it last year! Here is a link from May last year as to what to expect. Click on the "Hemi Hideout" link on the STTC website.

A Ford Thunderbird club for drivers and Thunderbird automobile enthusiasts. Open to everyone, even for those that just like vintage to modern Thunderbird cars. Located in San Antonio, Texas.

Here is an update on the Saturday, October 21st Cruise to the John Hovas "Hemi Hideout" in Brookshire, just west of Houston! Anyone in the Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma area are welcome to join us. IF anyone wants to attend this, let me know and I can add you to the count for the STTC Tbird Club I am President of. I need to let them know about 2 weeks before this event how many are coming from my Club, as the other Tbird Club Presidents also need to. His Hideout has nothing to do with Tbirds and a lot to do with his '60-'72 Hemi Cars and huge oil, gas, pumps, auto signs, juke boxes, Coke machines, etc., some 3,500 of them.

I am excited to announce that the STTC and all the other Tbird Clubs in Texas and Louisiana (and non-affiliated Tbird Owners) have been invited back by John Hovas and Shelly Gates to tour his multi-million-dollar "Hemi Hideout" in Brookshire this year! Shelly has stated that they can handle 500 people. I have invited 12 Tbird Clubs (including members of this Forum) to join us this year. At last count I had 11 Clubs committed.

Saturday, October 21st was picked for this year. It avoids three of the four major holidays of that month, Columbus Day, Boss's Day, Halloween, but not Sweetest Day on the 21st. This IS something that you can share with your Sweetheart! It also allows us to drive in what should be cooler weather conditions.

The $10ea donation is still in effect and NO children under the age of 12 allowed. I have attached the hotel listing to this also. A good number of those who attended last year drove in on Friday, stayed at their choice of hotel, rested and then made the short drive to the Hemi Hideout Saturday morning. Food (at your expense) will be from the Food Truck, OR, if necessary, (as it was last year) through their 50's Diner. After I notified you last year, you should already have put this on your Calendar for 2023. I am coordinating this again with the other Texas and Louisiana Tbird Clubs. This is something you will not want to miss and many who attended last year have said they want to see it again!

Shelly will need to have a head count from each Club President regarding how many people and Tbirds to expect at least two weeks before October 21st. This will allow her to staff the facility with the necessary personnel to handle the turnout. Contact: Call or text Shelly Gates at 713-825-2555 with your head count! The main number is 281-347-4364 should you not make contact with Shelly. Or you can contact me if you wish to attend and I can add you to my Nose Count.

Arrival time at the the Hideout is 10AM, to allow for parking of the Tbirds and daily drivers. The event starts at 11am til 1pm with a Noontime speech by John Hovas.

This time, we will make it a point to visit the Restoration building to see the work that is being done to restore or repair what is going into the Man Cave for display. .

Much of the details will be the same as they were last year, with a change of where the cars will be displayed. Last time it was on the side of the Man Cave, which, unfortunately, left a good number of Tbirds behind the others. This time they will be displayed as you will see in the picture below. Also, I am pleased to announce that thanks to a member of my family, he has stated that he will supply a Drone operator to take pix and videos of our Tbirds parked around the Hemi Hideout! A great gesture on his part!

Hemi Hideout, Whether you're planning a meeting, wedding, family reunion or other special event, Hemi Hideout offers an idyllic stage for memorable occasions. From small intimate gatherings to incentive programs and executive outings, our staff will assist you in every aspect of creating a successful event.

This is something that you just do not want to look at the videos. You need to experience this together with some dozen Tbird clubs in this area of the United States, gathered together and hopefully, some 500 Tbird owners and their Tbirds!

Picture your Tbird in this picture! There are about 50 cars in that pic, and Shelly says they will be able to handle any overflow. Here is that pic!
