This is to notify all our members that since our recent software upgrade the system is not sending out any emails. This includes birthday emails, membership expiration emails and new Private Message notification emails. We recommend that all paid members check the date that they last paid as you will not get any warning that your membership is expiring. The system is also not sending out email notices when a new user signs up. If you just signed up you will not be notified via email that your membership has been accepted. Please be patient as it may take longer than usual to process your application. Our webmaster Dave Dare is aware of the problem. Hopefully it is fixed sooner than later. - John
The FE should make it about 150% kewler. To round out the package you need to start promoting hair growth on your knuckles, eating vast quantities of cheese, have a large R.F. tattooed on your forehead, and practice your through the roof shifting. Nice score. Mike
I'm in San Jose right now.
I am looking for a 390,just not ready to buy...
I do have an Uncle(Retired) and a Cousin(Welder that builds BBQ's and Smokers) that live in Red Bluff.
I will ask around here, they seem to pop up dirt cheap around here. I picked up the one in the 58 with a nice cam, new performer intake, chrome dress up kit, new dist and oil pump and mustang headers (which I need to get around to selling) for $600. All I did was pull the pan, check the bottom end out, replaced the bearings and it runs great.
By the way, looking for ideas on color scheme, the primer green military deal with the white wheels isn't 100% working for me.
I am leaning toward doing the top black, running the wheels satin black and the body portion bare metal with rust, depending on what I find under the rattle can paint...
Another thought was dark blue top, blue wheels, tan body?
or black with the rust and primer showing through, red scallops with black or red wheels?

Hmmm, I like the bottom one. But I do like those wheels, I would like to find me some of those, or some artillery wheels. Anyone have either, I would need 16" with 5x5 pattern
tell me if I am wrong???? 28 or 29 Model A with a 30 or 31 radiator shell. If you want an Fe...how about buying a 360 truck motor..cheap as heck, 428 crank, 390 rods and pistons...Voila 410ci.
now for me the engine should be a 303 or 324 maybe a 371 olds..(thats why they make fake olds valve covers to fit the chev. or even better maybe a mid 50's cadillac. But then I am old and grew up in my brothers chopped 50 merc. I had to laugh the first time I saw american graffitti and the guys in front of me didnt recognize the car.
color??? maybe chromate yellow primer frame, bare metal with matt clear over it and the flat black top???? who I can see the dreams starting now... Great looking car, nice to know we have such diverse tastes here. Grant

NCbird on the Coast of NC
"Dads Bird" for my father
I would sand back some bare metal spots on it in a random fashion, matt clear it, paint the wheels matt black, white wall tyres and have some "stressed" signage etched onto it....."Rusty's Rusty Rods". Voila
What you all think? Down the road, I am thinking it might be nice to install an FE in it?
Totally love it! Want one too!!!!
Me and my buddy at work, who have a ´56 Chrysler talk daily more about building something like this than work on the cars we already have.....
@ my61brd: great ones all 3!

Well, I am headed down the road you are talking about, started hitting the top with a color called semi-flat black. Started removing the paint with some thinner
Thinking I would get some different wheels for it actually.
