    Trivia Question

My apologies. I have just been rather busy the last week or so. Here are the answers to the last quiz.

    Answers to Cooling System Quiz:

    1. (C) is correct, although a 50/50 solution is adequate for most climates, protecting to -34o F. Never use pure antifreeze.
    2. (A) is correct. As stated above, a faulty thermostat, causing an engine to run too hot or too cold, can damage the engine. 3. (B) is correct. And when replacing the cap, be sure to install the right one for your vehicle. Pressure recommendations vary.
    4. Because all three functions are dependent upon the drive belt (or belts) all three answers are correct.
    5. (C) is correct.

Given that most of us will be gone or really old in 20 years, I'd eliminate the good cars ( the Vette, Charger and the Mustang). That would leave the next generation of gear heads wanting the Hybred. So sad!

    Trivia Question

Sorry, Gals & Guys! I have been busy working fer ya! Here are the questions again and the answers and source. I do not think anyone got it 100% correct.

    Answers:
    1. (F) If the battery can turn the engine, the problem is elsewhere. The car generally requires diagnostic services.

    2. (T) In cold weather, moisture in air tends to form inside the gas tank. The more gas in the tank, the less space for air, helping to prevent moisture.

    3. (F) About a minute should be enough. After that, drive conservatively until the engine reaches normal operating temperature. 4. (T) The engine is your heat source. If a malfunctioning thermostat causes the engine to run too cold, you'll be cold, too. Also, a cold running engine burns more gas and increases exhaust emissions.

    5. (F) Four-wheel drive helps when starting out and accelerating, but on any type of surface it's good brakes on all four wheels that helps you stop safely.
