There is only one convertible this year. I can use more pix of them! For this year the very last 1960 Squarebird off the production line, owned by Greg Prince, is featured during the month of September, the month it was born on...
The selections were made out of some 3 dozen possibilities, and it was difficult, as always, to select the final 12. I have a very good idea of what Alexander went through when he had to make the selections. There were a number of criteria I went through to try to keep the calendar selections as balanced as possible. Picture size was crucial, for one. In the future, I MUST have digital pictures with a rating of 300DPI or higher. Background is important. I tried, when possible, to stay away from backgrounds that drew your attention, instead of the car. In some cases, where I only had one or two pictures to chose from, that was not possible. Picture quality was important, and I had to use one or two pictures that did not have the quality I would have liked to have had, but they were the only pictures of Tbirds from members in that country. I tried to balance out the calendar, as best as possible, with pictures from our international members also. Car color was taken into consideration. I tried to keep from having to many white or black Tbirds. There were other things taken into consideration also. One of them being if the car had ever appeared in a previous calendar, I did not select it, preferring to give someone else a chance whose car had never made the calendar before. That is true of the last two calendars I have done.
Well, that gives you some idea of what I go through to make the selections. There are about a dozen and a half Tbirds that were not selected this year. They will be given first consideration for the next calendar. Then any other pictures that I am supplied with during this year. If you want to know if your picture(s) are under consideration for next year, and get me better pictures, email me. For those of you Down Under, and going through your summer, this is a great time to get some really good pictures of your Tbird. Same to those of you up north, when the Spring comes. I also need more group pictures for the cover.
I have sold 33 calendars this year, with more on order! My supply of calendars are about gone. I see there is an additional need, and I can get more printed. If you have told me that you want a calendar, but have not paid for one yet, you can do so through my PayPal account rayclark07@gmail.com You can also send me a check or money order. If you need my snail mail address, PM or email me. If you need it before Christmas, you had better hurry!
One final note. I posted an item below in Anything Goes, about the Thunderbird 50th Anniversary Monopoly game. If you are interested, look for the thread by that name and take action, especially if you want them as a Christmas gift... There is a limited number available to me.
