As you might have noticed, pix from Chris ~ bird 60, often have those Thunderbird signs sitting in front of the cars when they are at a S&S Down Under. So I asked Chris about them, and here is what he had to say...
"With the Signs, I make them Myself with a Jigsaw. I did one for my BIRD & the next thing I was getting orders. I do it all except for the Color & Lettering, which is done by a Sign Writer.
You are more than welcome to make one for yourself.
The measurements are 33'' from Tip to Tip, & 13" from Head to center of Tail. The Material that's used is pressed Pulp 3/8" thick, for both the 'BIRD & the Back. To open You need a Door Hinge, 4 small Screws, make sure they don't go through the other side, use Spacer or Washers like I've used. The Hook is there for placing on the Wall when not at Shows. The Little Hole down the Bottom is for Very Windy Days, if on Grass to put a 4-5" pin."
He gave me permission to share this with ya'll in case you want to make one for your Tbird. I intend to have Danny make one with 1959 on it for Rose. Here are some pix he sent me of what they look like, front and back.
