Jed look at it this way, now you have a panel truck and when you fully restore it, you can go around and pick up all the parts you need.

I have found that UPS and USPS are quite reasonable in delivering parts and material. However the 48 sure would be a fun ride to pick up parts. Wonder what kind of mileage a 1948 inline 6 flathead gets?

As with so many older vehicles I am most impressed at how basic and simple they are. This truck is the ultimate in simplicity and I look forward to putzing around with it going a step by step from the priority and immediate need items to those that require more effort and expense. The picture below is a '52 dodge panel that I have been admiring.

Also just to further explain my comment in the prior post regarding my yellow lab vs. mean junk yard shepherd dog in that I had stated the introduction didn't go so well; well Jazmine, my lab, is a large Alpha female who doesn't appreciate large male dogs sniffing her out. The junk yard dog ran away sniffling with his tail between his legs.

I was planning on trailering the panel truck to my driveway this week, however we are now in the grip of our first major 12" winter storm, then temps forecast sub-zero next couple of days. Suppose I may wait till next week when the weather is more user friendly for the trailering task. Shouldn't be too bad tho as the truck is only about 4 blocks away from my home.

That mean ol' junk yard dawg thought you was just a regular HO but you proved him, WRONG. Good Dog! (scratch her behind the ears for me) - Dave
