    More Cars From Down Under

Bill sent me some pictures taken at the recent S&S he was at. Unfortunately, in Western Australia, one does not find many Tbirds, but he did manage to find a pink '60 for Penelope to pal around with. Here are some pix he sent. The one of the young men having fun, are his son-in-law on the left with the white hat on, and his son, with his white hat on side ways. That is his son's bagged car they are standing in front of. Bill said his son had quite a crowd of people as he was demonstrating the air bag system.

The boys on front of the blue '63 got arthritis of the hands or something??

I probably should let Bill answer this, but I think the boys were giving us a demonstration of aboriginal sign language. We seem to have a similar or identical sign language in this country that is also in wide use these days.

In answer to the question of the hand signals...I wish I knew (or understood). I have asked him again this morning and he says it is just "a random movement" that "seemed fitting". Personally I think they may have been describing something that just walked past. I found the people watching at that event almost as entertaining as the car watching! There were 800 cars and almost 20,000 visitors on the day.

Sandy, the white bird is much better looking than the pink one

Update on the hand signals...apparantly it represents UC, which stands for "Under Construction" which the sons car is, and if you look closely you will see a white sgn on the back window just to the right of the skull, that says Under Construction. It will be removed once the car is complete.....it is currently getting a 350 transplant and the 283 is headed for a rebuild (and a 54 Chev), so wont be off for a while yet....

Apparantly the hand signals were explained to me on the day, I am getting old.
