    Heat of the Night '60Bird

Last night nothing on TV but found on the TBS channel, the old movie "In The Heat of The Night." I took a quick interest in the movie as all of the cars and trucks were 40s, 50s and 60s vehicles. The film was release in 1967, but saw lots of '50 Ford and Chevy pickups. My fave was a '49 Chev steakbed truck. Well then I saw the tail fins and bumper of a skymist blue 60 tbird that was sticking out of a garage where a mechanic was working underneath it. The scene ran for several minutes and kept on hoping I'd see another scene with the Bird in it, but to no avail. The scene is just were Mr. Tibbs (Sidney Poitier) arrives into the Mississippi town and the police dept. auto mechanic offers to put Tibbs up in his home while Tibbs stays in town. I'd never heard of a squarebird sighting referenced to 'In the Heat of the Night' before, so just thought I'd mention it here on Squarebirds forum.

I used to love PERRY MASON as FOMOCO must have sponsored and all you saw was a continual display of FORD, BIRD and LINC.

Yes I do recall that Perry Mason was a FOMOCO show as well as a few others I remember watching in the late '60s and early '70s like Hawaii 5-0, Marcus Welby MD and who can forget that beautiful Mark III that Canon always drove.
