Shortly after midnight last night, this website went down. It was still down at 02:30am, but was back up this morning when I got up and on again. When you tried to bring up the website, I would get a 404 type error message from something called PLESK. I did some investigating and found that this was a software company that has been around for a few years.
Not knowing what was going on, I fired off an email to driller and Dan Leavens about this. Driller replied this morning and said that PLESK is part of software that Jelsoft/vBulletin runs to operate our forum. Apparently, the servers were down for maintenance or other reasons last night and we were seeing, for the first time for me, anyway, the PLESK 404 error message saying so.
So, if, in the future, you try to get on and you get that PLESK error, dont get concerned, as I did. It just means that the server is down for awhile. Here is what it said.
"SWSoft PLESK
Server Default Message
If you see this page it means:
1. Hosting for this domain is not configured
Or
2. There is no such domain registered in Plesk.
What you can do.
Using Pleask, you can create domains with web hosting on a single physical server.
For more information, please contact administrator."
Well, our domain or server(s) were down for awhile. As it turns out, there was nothing to worry about. As I said, it was back up again early this morning.
