The Alexander Sosiak Memorial Tbird CD

Hi! Sorry for the lengthy post, but I need to get this information out to you. Those of you who I have corresponded via email with received this by that method.

I have finally tweaked the "Alexander Sosiak Memorial Virtual Thunderbird Show & Shine" power show to the point where it is ready to go! Out of the 24 contributors, I only have about a dozen of your email addresses. So I am putting this on Squarebirds for the others.

The cost of producing and mailing a single CD is:
    U.S. Postage - $1.85
    CD Cost Each - $0.80
    CD Mailer - $1.99
    A total of $4.64 for U.S. Squarebirders

    Overseas Postage - $4.60
    CD Cost Each - $0.80
    CD Mailer - $1.99
A total of $7.39 for Overseas Squarebirders

Postage to Canada is $4.40. A total of $7.19 for Canadian Squarebirders

One of our administrators has suggested that we ask for a contribution of $10 for the CD. Any amount over the production and mailing costs will be given to the Squarebirds Forum to help offset the cost of keeping our forum up and running. I ran this by other administrators/moderators and they agree with the fee.

So if you would like to have one of the CD's, please send me a $10 contribution, along with your mailing address and I will ship you one right out. Those that did not get an email from me send me a PM here and we can exchange mailing addresses. I do not want to post mine on the forum, nor should you.

Please keep in mind that Squarebirds is a non-profit organization.. All funds over the production and mailing costs will be forwarded on to John Peters (Driller) treasurer of Lincolns of Distinction and Squarebirds. John is working on getting the problems fixed that have come up with the passing of Alexander.

Those of you overseas, if you have access to U.S. Currency, that would be a big help to me. It is not always the best to send money through the mail, but if it is wrapped in paper so that it cannot been seen, it should be safe getting it to me. Or an international money order could do the trick.

Those of you in the U.S./Canada just send me a check or money order and that should do it.

Those of you overseas, feel free to copy the CD and share it with other Thunderbird owners in your country. We would like to see these CD's put to use at future Thunderbird Show & Shines across the world. There is a Mac and a PC version on each CD, along with the appropriate Viewer software that can be downloaded and executed for those who do not have Microsoft Office on their Mac or PC.

I hope that you will receive as much pleasure from this CD as I had putting it together from the pictures you sent me. It has been tested again and again, and is running well on my Mac (G4 running OS X 10.4.11(Tiger) & 1/2GB RAM) and my PC (Dual Pentium running WinXP and a GB of RAM). You might have problems if your PC is a bit aged, as this is a large file of about 71MB and runs for about 21 minutes and then will loop and keep running until you stop it.

Once you receive it, I would appreciate your comments regarding it on the forum or in email.

    Best Regards,

    Ray Clark

In reference to Anders inquiry, and others, yes, it is possible to pay via PayPal. Should you like to use PayPal, just PM me and I will give you my personal PayPal information. That should simplify things for those of you overseas, or those who prefer to use PayPal. I will still need your mailing address so I know who to mail to. When all is said and done, I will make a donation to the Squarebirds Forum with the overage, after production and mailing costs.

          To all members and guests.

I would personally like to thank Ray for his dligence in producing " The Alexander Sosiak Memorial TBird CD ". What started as an idea, in helping out with EG'S show & shine, has turned into something special that we can all enjoy and watch over and over again. The pride that all of us have in our birds, can only be magnifide by the love that Alexander had in not only this site but by helping everyone he came in contact with. This is also a way, we can pay tribute to a very remarkable man, that was taken away from his family and friends, way too soon. Ray, I look forward to viewing this memorial CD and once again thank you, from all the members for taking the time to produce it.

Dan, thank you very much for those kind remarks. I hope that all of you will enjoy the show. It is a bit lengthy, at about 21 minutes. However, I put pictures of everyone's Tbird in it that sent me pix. Now I have some that came in after I finished the show, for a future one, if we want to do this again down the road. A Version 2..

I am burning CD's, and getting them ready to label. I should be able to get a few of them in the mail tomorrow... Please let me know what your thoughts are about the show once you have seen it.

I personally know how much work and many hours into the morning that Ray has spent on doing this project.

Thanks Ray for a great tribute to Alexander and the Squarebirds.

If you can get your days and nights back on track; try to get some sleep.

The Alexander Sosiak Memorial Tbird CD

Just thought I would post a comment regarding the CD.. Wildcat15 got his yesterday.. Here is what he had to say...

                Ray,
Got it yesterday. Nice job. I've watched it 3 times now and caught myself physically drooling over the neat collection of cars.

                Thanks,

                Jay

Actually his Tbird is a pretty good one to drool over also!

Put it in here directly, and have to say it´s realy great. So many nice cars, and also those pics showing wrecks, and restoration made it only more compleate. GREAT RAY, and biog thanks for your work!
On a sidenote: I absoloutley love EG Metallic green vinyl seats. Kinky stuff!

I loved the CD Ray!! You did a great job I might add.

Hats off to Bob May as well, that 2-tone basket case really turned out to be a "white stallion". Good job saving the 'ol gal.

                        Hi Ray

Just got the memorial CD in the mail, and to say that I am impressed would be the understatement of the decade. Not only did I get to see a bunch of Squarebirders' rides, the exra shots of Tbirds at shows and the like was a real bonus. Fantastic job.
Was also cool to see three kiwi cars on the disk.
                        Thanks Ray, you're a legend

                          Hi Alistair!

I am happy to hear that you received the CD and have enjoyed it so much! Thank you very much for those nice comments. I am very glad to see that the membership is enjoying the show so much. I could not have done it without all the pictures ya'll sent me! Please feel free to show it to others there, and if necessary, it is okay to make copies of it. One of the ideas is to use it at Show & Shines, or club meetings, so others can see our Tbirds and maybe join us here on Squarebirds.

Several of you have commented that you would like to have a copy of the CD but have not placed orders yet. If you would still like to have one, please let me know. Look at Announcements above, for the details. I have sent out about 2 dozen CD's so far, and have gone through my list. I would like to wrap this up soon, figure up the financial details and send off a payment to John Peters for our Squarebirds Forum.

So if you want one, please take the necessary action to order, so I can wrap this project up. The CD WILL be available for those who might come after this, and want a copy. I will have the capability of creating more.
