Obviously started life as a hardtop according to the VIN. I imagine the top is a real two man job to get off and on.

Just to show us how you must verify what you see nowadays, I ran across this video - 1960 Thunderbird – Classic Style, Power & Luxury!.
It sure does not look like my '60. But then maybe Dave knows what secret FoMoCo facility was used to make it and this two-top '58.
