    The Bill ~ FINSRIN Fordebaker!!!

For years Bill has gone from one rebuild or restoration to another and over the years there is one project he has been working on to bring to fruition. The Fordebaker! Yup, part Ford, part Studebaker! Lol... Here is what he has had to say about this project now that he is back working on it again!

Ray, After some time (too long) off am back at building the Fordebaker. Consists of '61 Lark with mods and Ford content. Here you see chassis is done. Strengthened to handle hotrodded 460 power. Backed by C6 & Gear Vendors overdrive. Stainless steel ~25 gal gas tank. 3.5 gears. Fuel & brake lines done. Frame powder coated and exhaust ceramic coated. Body mods are done, ready for primer. Custom dash & instruments done. 2005 Mustang front & rear seats fitted ready for final install. Mustang wiper motor with Ford van controls ready to go. Hood has '65 Thunderbird scoop which was needed to clear air cleaner and matches style of '62 Lark grill-nose which is being used. So,,, from firewall forward is '62 Lark while behind that is '61 Lark. Pictures of first fiddlings with '65 Tbird scoop. Cut out of Tbird hood and moved around to how it might fit. Older picture, scoop is now built into Lark hood. Match of hood and grill lines have factory like look. Hint of sweepback at center line are nearly the same. Pleased with how it has turned out. Bill Pugnetti ~ FINSRIN.

Here are the pictures! What great workmanship!

Due to damage from a 1960s fender bender the left rear fender refused to line up for remounting. With help from Studebaker guys located a straight rust-free fender and did road trip to get it. A one year only design due to taillight differences. Is rare. My 'go to' paint shop went out of business. Got to deal with that.

Just looking at the frame, I love the crossover that envelops the driveshaft! Your belts and pulleys really set your 'final dress' apart too. 3.55:1 will really give this car some guts! Fabulous. I can't wait to see the body and interior. Sorry you lost your favorite Paint Shop. I know how hard it is to build a relationship with a new vendor as opposed to one who has done work for, and knows you. - Dave
