I am very pleased to say that Brian Orr ~ JrCentral has the jrcentral website http://jrcentral.com up again and fully working. I went through a lot of links this morning and everything seems to be operational. You can spend a lot of time going through each link. It is not just Tbirds that Powercar and other "Junior" manufacturers made: There are also the Desota Firemite; Powercar 1958-1960 Plymouth Fury; Donalson Edsel; Sylvestri Art Studios Pontiac; Conval Mustangs; Creative Industries '65 Plymouth; Yardman Corvette; Powercar 1965-1967 Mustangs; Powercar 1957-1958 Mercury; Barry Toycraft Corvettes; Donalson Ford Sunliner 500; Robel Divco Milk Trucks; Master Enterprises 1959-1960 Studebaker Larkette; 1960 Gas powered Buick. It is not known who made that one.

After Powercars demise, Conval Industries took over and continued production for a short period of time, and also made the 1971 Mustang. To tell if you have a Powercar Junior or a Conval Junior check the chassis frame. Conval used a square tube frame and Powercar used a round tube frame. If you really want to learn a lot more about the production of "Junior" cars, spend some time reading the various links regarding each kind of "Junior" car that was being made by Powercar/Conval and the other "Junior" manufacturers...

A friend, who is not a member of this Forum, sent me a couple of pix of his Big 1966 Flairbird, with his newly repainted to match, "Junior"! Here are those 2 pix!

This individual also posted these pics on Facebook a couple days/weeks ago. The pics got lots of attention and praise from the thunderbird community... Car show goals!

A 55' and a 56' Thunderbird Jr. we're just posted for sale by someone in Oklahoma. They appear to me to be 1/4 scale electric ones. Overall they appear in nice condition. The link for the ad is below.

A 57' Jr. with trailer just came up for sale in Ohio. Looks like a 1/4 scale, and is electric. $2,300!

If you have not looked at the Tbird "Junior" Facebook page recently, there is a lot of activity going on there. Here is the link.

I recently purchased my first Powercar Company Thunderbird Jr. I wanted to share pictures of it to the group forum.

My challenge is that it has no electrical parts. Does anyone happen to know which electric motor (starter motor) was used on these originally?

Are any other current or former Thunderbird Jr owners on this site?

Jim. you should have a Private Message from me with considerable more info. To check and see if it is a actual Power Car unit, there should be a serial number stamped into the body underneath identifying it as such. Brian Orr hopefully will be able to supply you with the part you need and additional info. You have his phone number in that PM. Nice looking find however.. As is the Golde Top. I see that you own more Tbirds than I knew you did when I looked at your user ID info!
