I have just been in conversation with Mark at Scarebirds. He just told me that if you have KH or TrueSpoke wire wheels and want to do the front wheel disc brake conversion, their kit WILL work on those 14" rims... AND the 14" OEM rims... They have tested it to make sure it does. and he said it WORKS.. See their Ad in the Advertisements Forum...

Yes, that part may be great news, but the other part of that news is this. When they were marketing just the front disc brake mounting bracket, you could buy just that for $130, and then round up all the other parts you needed from the local auto parts stores. And the Dual MC/Dual 8" Power Booster from MBM or ABS, or other company. That allowed us to save several hundred dollars on putting together our own kit, using parts that were mainly readily available from your local auto parts stores... Now, if you buy the new Scarebirds Front Disc Bake kit, it comes with hubs and other components as part of the kit for $409 plus shipping. As far as I know, you cannot buy just their new mounting bracket. I will see if I can get an answer to that subject from Mark...

I received my answer back regarding if it was still possible to buy the original disc brake mounting bracket and the answer is No... Also, you cannot buy the new mounting bracket only. It is part of their kit. He also gave me some information on another company that markets dual MC/Dual Power Booster setups. Here is some information on that. You will see they market a good number of various versions of that dual combination, from 7"-11" or so. They list 6 Universal Dual MC/Dual 8" Power Booster Combos. They are all made in the good ole USA! They also have them in chrome! I will list the 6 of them here....
