I hope I am getting closer to getting it right. I have put another try on my web page in but I can not see it in FTProotatftp.squarebirds,org I can see ther other Index_oldhtm Index.htm and directory index_files when I try to drag and drop it ask me to open or save file I think I got it in some where but I can only see it in FTP://Squarebirds.org//The%20Beginning if I have it correct will it show up in the Menber Page under my name

The problems with your file "THE BEGINNING" are two-fold. One it is a Word file (doc). You need to save it as a web file (htm). You can do that in Word. Also you need to name the file "index" so that it can be found. It will replace the file called index.htm that is there.

You are getting there.

I saved it as a web page but it is (mht) instead of (htm) what file should I name index I did send the file a index_begin.mht

I never heard of an mht file before, but apparently Internet Explorer recognizes it. To have other find the file. It should be simply called index.

Alex I guess I will never get a web site as I'm still into the old hunt and peck typewriting! Just to much stuff to figure out and I think I will just go back to using my old rotary phone and party line. Just kidding but I'm still a little lost when it comes to really using this machine. Jon
