Newyear, I believe this is the upper mount for an airbag suspension. Could you imagine getting everything together then hitting the switch then, BOOM!!! I had a buddy in High School that had his Ranger bagged. The bags rubbed the frame rail and rubbed a hole in the side of the bag. The gentleman that installed them didnt follow the instructions that were given to him.

Peter, that is supposed to be some "fabricator's" idea on how to build a trailer hitch.... To me that is the kind of person who you want to keep as far away from your classic car (or ANY car) as you can!

Looks to me like Brandon hit it on the head...
I'm looking at a frame rail, header tubes, pitman arm and a sway bar jut above the lower control arm.
Good job, Brandon!

It seemed pretty ohvious to me it was the suspension of something like a a squarebird or similar.
A very badly mutilated suspension!!A Thunderbirder from the Land of the Long White Cloud.

Chris, can you imagine getting a bill for that???
The exhaust pipe looks like it caught some kind of welding disease. That welding guy needs to learn about rod with a coating on it or invest in a bottle of gas for his MIG welder. My latest project:
