    Harley-Davidson on Strike

It seems the union turned down HD's somewhat weak proposal. It wasn't bad (wasnt great either)
But when it wasn't accepted, Harley locked down the York,PA plant. They build the Softails and Touring models there.

Maybe my Softail will go back up in value (suppl & demand)

    Yeah . . . sure, I'm dreaming.

I am not sure what kind of bargain the union will get. There is always the option now of moving production to China.

All the Harley-Davidson related merchandise is already made in China.

I think it would kill a hard-core biker to know his hog was an import.

True. Well mine was made in York, PA. Better hang on to it huh? And it has a carb, it's not F/I.

I'd like to se the MoCo stay here and employ American workers . . . but they're getting greedy. There are all kinds of problems with the new 96" motor (mostly EPA related) and the new 6 spd, so it's not like they can brag about quality. I hope we're not going to re-live the 70's with all the AMF/UAW problems.

Look at Ford & GM. Hurtin' !!!!!!!!!!
