Not sure where to put this so by all means, move it to another area if you think that would be better.
I took my '64 dash to a local auto upholstery shop in Winston-Salem two days ago and the owner told me about a property nearby that is rumored to have a basement and barn full of old TBirds. He thought the house was empty, owned by a family trust and there are legal issues. So much for rumors and conjecture.
I drove by it yesterday and it has an old Galaxie rotting in the side yard. It's a big old house that the garage has been added on several times, so I think that this is the house that he described. There is a circular driveway close to the street and the mailbox is on the driveway. This indicates that the occupant is elderly, since the PO will only do that under certain circumstances.
It's a busy, curvy road with no shoulders so in the interest of safety I didn't stop on the road to get a good view but I did drive by three times. One of the time and elderly woman was walking from the house to the mailbox....
I'm gong to do a little research on this. Maybe send her a letter expressing an interest to help her sell the cars. Any advice would be appreciated....
