    Pleasently Surprised !

Tuned "Late" today, due to appointments, and what wondermint did I see? A Chanukkah Menorah, with 8 candles illuminated, a-glow.
Well a wee bit early, since THIS YEAR Chanukkah begins on December 20th and ends December 27th at sundown.
The stores around here have allready been "Dressed" for the twin holy-days for like a week, but the shoppers are not really OUT and ABOUT buying gifts, yet. Me thinks they need a small amount of snow (1/2 inch
to ignite them to get going.

So to the members herein, allow me to be the first to express my heartfelt sentiments.
Firstly, as SOME of you know, I have been fighting Cancer ... since 2007 !
I kid 'ya not ! I am very much, still here, going shopping, washing my cars, taking long drives, going to the malls with my wife of 27 years and anything else, that I want to do. Yes... on the days when I go to the hospital (2 x @ month, I get sick, afterwards, sometimes justa bit and other times really sick... but, it passes in 48 hours or so.
At age 65 ( IN just 13 days..... !!) I have outlived some friends, who were younger than I. So, yes, I give thanks a-plenty.

I wish all of you to always stay positive, no matter what crap may come to your door-step.

I would be amiss not to mention, Alexander. His maker called him way to soon, and I miss him, and his friendship. I assisted him in getting this site going, and Alexander helped me aplenty in getting my site on line and built.
To Dave & "Yellow Rose" ( RAY) May you have the BEST Christmas ever,
and special thanks for all you do, and have done, that we all enjoy, daily.

May you have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy Chanukkah surrounded by loved ones, in health and in the warmth of lthe season !
To surprise some folks, here, last year, I went to Midnight Mass.
A frined lost his Mom, and he was all alone, and he did not want to be alone. I joined him, and I enjoyed the beautiful service, as well.
Faith....is Faith ~ as cancer patients so well know... EVERY day is SPECIAL

May God bless you all this season, and throughout the new year !

      Sanford Block "Sandy"

Sandy, thanks for your kind words and an even greater 'Thanks To God' for blessing us. Your victory over cancer proves that with God, all things are possible. I believe it.

I appologize for covering one of the menorah candles, and for coming into the holiday season a bit soon. Chanukkah may come on the 20th, but Christmas comes even later. Here's my excuse: Black Friday made me do it. Stores had Christmas displays up before Halloween was over, with no regard for Thanksgiving.

I am not born of Jewish parents but I wish a heartfelt, Shalom, to everyone. It is never too soon to count our blessings or to spread Holiday Cheer to all our members in every country.

I am grateful to Alexander and all his close friends, for starting and maintaining Squarebirds.org. Even to this day, Alexander's love and legacy have drawn over 1,800 members closer together; a camaraderie that is very unusual for such a specific car-orientated friendly site. Thanks to Alexander's legacy, when a member requests prayers, our membership steps up, and God positively answers. I'm sure Alexander is very pleased.

So, Happy Chanukkah, a very Merry Christmas, and warm wishes throughout this Holiday Season to our Squarebirds.org family, worldwide. - Dave

Eric, your vibes were coming through loud and clear.
This Holiday season, more than any other, is full of signs and symbols that read: HOPE, JOY, PEACE, LOVE, and yes, SHALOM.

These are not just kind words written on cards, but feelings right straight from the Spirit of God. The written words are nice but the feelings we convey to others are so much greater and so much more meaningful.
Show a random act of kindness even to a stranger, and spread the true meaning of this Holiday Season. And, may the Spirit of God's love abound in our family of Squarebird members in this season and through the coming year. - Dave Dare

no, Dave... I have not won the battle with the "C" (as my wife calls it...)
As a matter of fact, for the 1st time over the 4 years, it has increased 20% - that's scary - so now I am on a new drug, and I hate it. It makes the tops of ones fingers swell up, and the skin splits but not enough to bleed, but enough to hurt like **** 24 hours for at least 6 days.
Plus ones face (IT HAD to be one's face..... turns All rosy (pinkish) splotches like ya have some poison ivy on your face. This just began, 2 weeks ago and it takes a week to heal, but now Dr. is getting aggressive
and giving this new drug top me EVERY tuesday ! SO....I will always look wierd. Not sure what is next.....
