    1958-59-60 Steering Wheel

    Anyone out there with a spare steering wheel for sale? ( I like to keep the one I have )
    Will be shipped to Australia for pearl treatment, so if anyone "down under" have one, it would be extra convenient as it would be at the right place to start with, sort of
    I only need the wheel, not the hardware.
    Here´s a teaser:

    Anders, I hope you find one "down under" because that will certainly save some money in having to ship them one. I would have loved to have had the pearl effect done to my steering wheel, except that it was a bit to costly for me to do so. So I passed on it, but they are beautifully done.

      Anders, I have a wheel that has been completely prepped with cracks filled and is ready for final prime, sand and paint. The wheel's been hanging in my garage for quite some time now since I did the prep work and just waiting for the final paint job. Pictures below;

        Cool effect - fits the style of the Tbird - particularly if you had say a Watson style paint job - although I prefer original. Looking at the difference between the wheel and the knobs in this car - maybe you should do all the knobs as well?

        I guess this is the first wrong hand (oops - I mean right hand) drive Tbird I have paid close attention to. Didn't realize the windshield washer was 2 person job in these cars - your not going to be reaching all the way across that bus to hit the switch (heh heh) - or maybe you just slide over to the other side temporarily to wash the windshield. Oh - a friend just told me there was a tool for that - it's called a stick.

        Good luck on your wheel Anders.

          Oh yeah. I will do all knobs and stalks as well, but in "classic custom style" laminated plexi with different colours. Very kewl Look at the Hirohata Merc by Barris on the attached picture. And yes, I will have a Watson paint job next winter.
          I will save all original parts if I want to go back later on.

          And yes, I also saw the washer switch. Funny
