Someone on here just early last week was mentioning a cruiseomatic specialty transmission shop here in TX, maybe in Weatherford?

    *UPDATE*

Here is the shop. "Skyd" posted it up for us "a few weeks back". LOL!!

What trans is on your 430? I bought a rebuild kit (including all the clutch disks) for my Cruise-O-Matic from Tee-bird.com. I'm sure Mac's have them too. - Dave

        no luck yet

I just looked at these with no luck, the 430 uses a large case (LX) Cruisomatic, even larry's doesn,t stock one

Those kits are available. But a word of caution; make sure your case isn't cracked. It usually happens at the center bolt boss:

Yep, the one just above where the drum sits (in the middle). If your case is ok, THEN get the kit. How many transmissions are you planning on rebuilding? - Dave Dare

Edit: I forgot to mention, bands usually cost around US$50 WITH EXCHANGE (because we rebuild them). Don't give up on tee-bird.com. Call them and speak with Ellis or Bill. You may mention my name.

The FX (small case) was used with most FORD engines. The MX (medium case) was used with larger engines and heavier cars. The HX (actually LX) (large case) was used with the LINCOLN.

The FORD-O-MATIC and later CRUISE-O-MATIC was mixed in use with the F/2/S, C4 and C6 according to the application. The FMX was a redesign in 1967 that combined the FX and MX in design.

The trans is identified by the I.D. Assembly Tag:

          Have you got a Lincoln?

                  Just a note-

There is (was) a repair kit made available to repair the case crack. BROADER should have them-
