Until now I hadn't bothered mentioning this to my wife of thirty four years.
Her idea of me getting another car is "see subject line"
lol.
The car: OY71J185749
0 = 1960
Y = WIXOM, MI
7 = T-BIRD
1 = SUN ROOF
J = 430/350 HP W/HOLLEY CARB AND CHROME KIT
BODY = 63 HARDTOP
COLOR = N DIAMOND BLUE
TRIM = 72 MEDIUM BLUE
TRANS = 4 AUTOMATIC 4 SPEED W/OD
AXLE = 8 356:1
The car has A/C, power windows, power seat, AM Radio, Power Brakes, and many more options. The car runs and drives. The owner has the top and the door panels are inside the car. He wants to sell it. I'd like to get it but don't have a transport from Indiania to California.
100 bucks to me gets his name and number and he wants $7,500 FOB at his address. The car books low at 12K 24K average with a high of 60+K so it's well worth the price. I just don't think I sould even consider another one having been unable to finish the last one.
If I can figure out how to post photos I will. Untill then here are some links to them.
The sun roof, 430 and AC add 75% to the cars value and about only 40 remain of the 377 total made. It's a rare one indeed and 99% original and intact.
JBird
ps: I don't agree with the Holley Carb above (Thought they had only Carter AFB's) nor the 4-speed OD trans but that's what the owner says it has. Also I thought the 60's were down to 300 HP.
It must have had a dealer paint shop color change to sell it. The car is from an estate sale and that guy bought it new and the new owner got it from his family.
