    Snake in steering column?

Hi all, I've noticed that when I have the shifter of my '66 Town Landau in Drive or Reverse there a hissing noise at the bottom of the column but in Park or Neutral there is no noise.

Obviously it's coming from the neutral safety switch (or from a hose going into it)

I cannot recall if it has done this for a long time or not but definitely notice it lately.

Any ideas of what the likely cause?

BTW: The winter is here and I've no place to work on the car at present, hence why asking what to look for so when the time/weather allows I can dive into it..

It is most likely the vacuum hose going to and from the park neutral switch to the emergency / parking brake .
