    power steering pump

I need a new power steering pump for my 65 T Bird, with the pump still installed, how do I know what type of pump I have Eaton or Ford?

You should have a Ford pump. It should look like this.

      power steering pump

hi I have a late 65 . was wondering about the power steering pump as well. I saw the pic does look like the same but was wondering if the ford has the pressed on pulley . My tank seal I think is what is leaking and I know I can get new seal kit but there's a couple , one for eaton , one for ford. Mine has the pressed on pulled and the long thicker neck

I've had a number of '65's and I've seen dozens more and none of them had the Eaton pump. I'm pretty sure '64 was the last year of the Eaton pump in Thunderbirds. From '65 on they used the Ford pump.

John, thanks for the pic, yes that is what my car has except mine has the skinny refill neck, I just wanted to make sure im over here in Germany and it gets expensive to have parts shipped over, so I dont need a wrong part, I did some digging of my own and found the Eaton pump has a totally different look.
