1962 steering really sensitive around curves

I was driving the car today and noticed that the car was definitely pulling to the left. -
The new bigger diameter front sway bar helped a lot with it not having a tun of body roll in the corners but I feel like I am only half way there and definitely need to do the rear. Before I installed new front coils it was way high in the nose. When I installed the new shorter coils it made the car sit level which probably means that the rear is probably sagging around 2 inches in the rear. I am planning on bringing it back to the alignment place this coming week to see what they say.Leave a comment:

New Radio, tires
Alignment has recently Been done
New ball joints, Ty rods all rubber parts.
New bigger sway bar
New coils and shocks.
Coils have been cut one coil.
Alignment was done after it was lowered
the rear suspension has not been touched. It looks to be probably all originalDoes the car 'roll' when turning? If so, your sway bars are probably too loose or undersized. They should be 1-1/8" in diameter. With proper bars, the car should be flat at all times. I would go back to the front end alignment guy to discuss your caster/camber. - DaveWhen I am making a big round turn like when I am transferring from one freeway to another and there is a big loop the steering is very sensitive. If I try to correct at all it seems like it is over correcting and I can’t find the right amount to turn the wheel in order to stay on path

Unfortunately even when new they never cornered very well. You have a big heavy all cast iron V8 in the front and not much in the back. The only thing left is your steering box. If that's worn it will affect handling but even then it may not corner like you want it to. You can always try adding a rear sway bar. That may or may not help.

The other problem is the sway bar is undersized. You can get larger sway bars from Lance Herrington at Thunderbird Southwest. https://www.thunderbirdsouthwest.com/
You won't see them listed on his site but you can contact him. I believe he still carries them.

How are the tires wearing? Running Bias or Radials tires?
Has the car ever been aligned?
Any suspension work been done? These are mighty old cars at this point and likely to have worn out parts.
At least by 1962 Ford finally got rid of that terrible P/S control valve and remote hydraulic cylinder setup and your car has the way more modern integral steering box P/S.
