1962 Hoses coming out of brake booster

My brake booster has 2 hoses coming out of it. Where are they supposed to go? One of mine runs down the firewall and I have not chased it down yet. The other one is plugged off with a bolt. I am used to a Chevy where the vacuum for the break booster comes from a port on the carb

The larger hose port goes to the intake manifold and the smaller hose port goes to the modulator on the transmission. If the large hose is blocked off you basically have manual brakes. You need the hose going to the intake manifold to get vacuum to the booster. The only reason to block it off is if the booster is leaking.

The larger hose goes to the manifold but the fitting on the manifold is a T fitting and the other side has the hose that is blocked off. The hose that is blocked off has an little ball/cylinder that has nipples on both sides with hoses connected.

Do you have air conditioning? The other hose from the T fitting usually goes to the vacuum canister.

No I don’t have ac. Maybe someone replaced the manifold with one from a ac car and could not get the fitting out of the manifold. It is good to know that it is not disconnected from somewhere it should be.

If you have no AC then it's probably for the heater control panel which uses vacuum. Can you post a picture of the hose that is blocked.
