1960 Restoration Project

Ok. I thought since you wanted the correct part number manifolds that it was going to be judged.

We have 2 '60 Tbirds one we are restoring and one that is a donor/parts car. We had bought a complete exhaust system from the Bird's Nest. It would not match up to the exhaust manifolds on car #1. That proved to be because neither of those manifolds were correct for the '60. Each was from a different year (one a '64 I believe). The manifolds on the donor car were just rotten when we tried to get them off (they had the correct part numbers). So we were trying to make sure we were buying the correct manifolds. We are making some progress on this 1960 Tbird. We have the engine cranked and running. Doing some of the wiring, w/s wiper transmission, brake pedal, a/c duct work and more. Trying for a finish date of mid September (that is probably pushing it!) .

We are making some progress on the '60 Tbird. Most everything on this car was worn out, scratched or broke. Thank goodness for the '60 donor car. We robbed it of plenty of parts. We will be done with the '60 in a matter of weeks now (at least that is the plan!).

When the client bought this car he also bought the 'brother' '60 which was sitting next to this one, both in a field in Kansas. A good thing as we have robbed many parts off of the 'brother'. The years had not been kind to either but the parts off the bro were better than the Home car. We are abut done and will want to pass the brother to someone else, if possible.

Hi Mike! Thanks for posting the pix! A lot of people are following the progress being made on restoring this Squarebird! I see that John ~ jopizz was able to give you a lead on the glass you were looking for! That should take care of that!

Great job, it's really coming along beautifully. Are you planning to dye the dashboard or leave it white?
Sort of off topic but what is the sealer you used on your garage floor?

Frank: We didn't do this floor so I do not know. We are building a new bldg (see photos) and we are using a 2 part Rust Oleum solvent based epoxy. That stuff is tough. Tks
