If you're having issues with your Edelbrock (Carter) check fuel pressure if you haven't already . They never get dialed in with pressure that's too high .

    I'd try one.
The Edelbrocks were the hot ticket back in the day
I had one of the Chinese Holley's on my Dodge Charger
That was a POS. But I hear they've gone back to their
    old quality.
    I ran a 780 on my 383 for 10 yrs. Exc for a pwr valve or . . .
It worked perfect. I cracked an ear on it putting it on the
    440, so I bought a new one.

But. I discovered last weekend. I have WAY bigger fish
    to fry.

Hello, I always had good luck with Holley 650 on stock Fords, GM"s. Good luck.

Mr. Byers sorry to hear of your issues and hope you and your family are safe and well. I agree with John, as I ran the Edelbrock 1406 for many years with no issues

I recommend the Edelbrock 1406 (600 cfm). You don't want too high a cfm. 650 is overkill in my opinion and can cause driveability issues.

    More Carb Capers

    Good morning all

Is anyone running an Edelbrock 650 on their 390 ?
I am still having issues. I have the Edelbrock (Carter 625)
Still having issues. Sick of it.
    Just looking for options.
If someone gave me a Holley (just to try on there)
I'd do it. Just to see. Then buy the stupid thing if it worked

    Thanks
Working...
