Ford & GM Combination Valve Pix

I have been working with Steve ~ JimBird59 as he goes through the dual MC/8"Power Booster, front disc brake conversion. He got the ABS system, and had some questions regarding it. He sent me a couple of pix that might be useful to ya'll as you go through this same conversion in the future. Here are the two pix he sent me. Thanks, Steve! Also, here is the pic of the Ford Combination Valve and also pix of what a "distribution block" looks like. The Squarebird came with one for connecting the MC to the front and rear brakes. Dave has said that when doing this conversion, you do not need it. It could be removed. Thank you, Dave, for all the additional information!

The pictures are of a 'GM-style' combination valve. When ordering either the Ford or GM valve, also get the nuts that fit all the ports AND the electrical connector (pigtail) that plugs into the center switch. All the nuts are Inverted Flare Fitting (IFF) and they all fit 3/16" brake line. The only difference is the thread sizes, so that the guy on the assembly line cannot put the wrong brake line in the wrong hole.
3/8"-24 is the standard size for all three rubber hoses and this valve uses two. The other nuts required for this valve are; 9/16"-18, 1/2"-20 and 7/16"-24 for all five ports.
The Master Cylinder will have two ports that require nuts. Those sizes depend on which M/C was ordered.
If the rear axle lines are replaced, they will need four additional 3/8"-24 IFF nuts.
For the entire car, I suggest ordering:
    twelve 3/8"-24,
    one 9/16"-18,
    two 1/2"-20 and
two 7/16"-24 IFF nuts (to be on the safe side).
If you use the original brake light switch, a tee will be required with two 3/8-24 ports and one 1/8"-27 NPT (national pipe thread) port. (This is different from the original distribution block mounted on the frame.)
Click HERE for AMAZON'S tee offering.

If a brake line ruptures, the combination valve's center spool quickly shoves over to the 'bad' side, shutting off any more brake fluid loss when the brake pedal is mashed. This causes the electrical switch to ground (notice there is only one wire) which should turn on a 'BRAKE FAULT' light on your dashboard. Meanwhile, the side that has no fault will operate those brakes normally.

Contact Matt's Bowties in Benicia, Ca
He has the discontinued S-10 valve which is the most popular
      for disc brake conversions.

When (IF) I ever get to it,
That's the one I'm going to get. I have one of those
worthless adj ones on there now.
May as well just use a tee.
