Well started to strip to bare metal, found my drivers side fender to have 1/4-3/8” maybe even more bondo shaping it lol. I knew there was damage there, had no clue it would be that thick. Haven’t stripped the passengers side to compare. Took a lot of work just to get to this point, what a mess!!

Hey Dave I completely agree! I’m just a little powerless, if I drive to get it, it’s a good 10 days (I cannot even get that much time off right now, we are in the busy season) if I fly, rent a car etc. to help remove the motor, pay a shipper the cost to ship is way over the top. I cannot think of anything else at the moment. I have been trying to brainstorm. I’m willing to have the entire shell shipped.
Randy/Hazard do you really need the drivetrain? I can pay you for that to make this easier? That is about the best I can offer that makes sense being in Florida and you in California. I’m at a loss.Comment

Ok just got in its late, went to new Doctor today he didn't like my knee ither, didn't get anything done for Hazard, but he told me that right after his board meeting he was asked a question about our problem and if it has a 9 inch, if it did he would pull the eng/transmission and whatever else we need to, for the rear end, Ok Hazard that great you da man. , So how do i know its a 9in or not , thers no bolts coming out the back of the housing. I'll get picture tomorrow, but i think this is our big break for help."You're never too old to become younger".! (M. West)

Randy, I am just about 100% sure all squarebirds came with a 9” rear. While that is really good for you, without question I would need it to roll and steer for an auto shipper to be able to load the Tbird onto a truck. Not sure how it could be loaded any other way. Do you have any ideas? Sorry about your knee!! RobertComment

New knee that's why its hard for me to help, it has fever, knots loud Hurst and started squeak ing like a squirrel when i get to working. Yes Hazard said they discussed that about the wheels at the last meeting. The Gentleman that was interested only if its a 9in. Hazard sent picture to him said it look good to him but that he going to look at it. and Hazard is go ask if he got something to stick under if he take it."You're never too old to become younger".! Randy, you will love the new knee, follow the therapy regimen to the "T" and you will get fantastic results.
What I know about the 9in rear ends are they are not the most desirable for most being they are more difficult to modify/upgrade not impossible but not like the later models that there are a plethora of aftermarket parts available. I forget the whole specifics, but still a Ford 9 it is. Let me know where you are in the progress, thank you for the time you take for this!Comment
