Which is the best engine jacking spot of these three? Or another?

  • Which is the best engine jacking spot of these three? Or another?

    I am doing a rear main seal replacement from underneath. I can get a bottle jack to any of these three spots. 1 is next to the oil filter at the front of the block. 2 and 3 are on either side of the block at the trans end. Thoughts?

    I usually use the flat spot next to the oil filter.

      None of the above. I pull the engine up using a cherry picker chained under two long bolts on the intake manifold.

        When your under there, ditch the FRAME oil filter too!!

        I recommend a Motorcraft, K&N, Mobile 1, WIX, etc.
