No problem John. I am probably over thinking there too.
The light on the gear selector went out. I pulled it but it does not seem to be a standard bulb. Not sure if it is the bulb or the connection as it was working when moving around the wire but then stopped.
How can I open this device? IMG_20241113_172533_072.jpg

I've personally never dealt with him. When I looked for fuel pump rebuild kits his site came up. There are others like Now and Then Automotive if he does not respond. Just do a search for dual action fuel pump rebuild kits. Make sure the kits specify that they are made for Ethanol based fuels.
Then and Now finally replied
They asked : "I'll need the numbers stamped on the side of the fuel pump flange, where it mounts to the motor."
Can't see any number. Where can it be and can you tell me what pump I have? That may help in getting the right kit.
If it has a part number it will be on the edge of the flange where it goes into the timing cover as per the picture. Your pump looks like a new aftermarket pump and not a rebuilt original AC pump. There may also be number on the lever so you may have to take the pump off.
Using a standard number is very convenient.
I have to buy an alternator for my Cobra that get lost ! I have been told I need a Part #7058. Does the alternators use the same standard number system?
So I got a cork sheet and cut a gasket.
Now the rubber gasket still leaks and can't get it alone so will buy a rubber sheet and cut the gasket.
Any tip as how to cut neat small holes in the rubber.
On paper I use a roll steel ball hammered in the holes but this would not work here. s-l1600.jpg
