Best Disc/Drum Conversion with 17" Wheels????

Hi, I am a new owner to a 38K 58 Coupe. It does not have power brakes & is very slow to stop. I would like to learn about converting to power dual master cylinder using front discs & drums on the back. I must admit that I haven't done any research except seeing some on ebay. I understand that this could cost $1000 & I am OK with that. Does anyone have good input? Thanks, Tim
