    Hello Rejura,

My name is Marcelo. I was the last person to own this car in the United States. This is a great forum which I'm sure you will find as a great resource for bringing your '58 back to life.

I registered this car with the Thunderbird registry. You can see the entry by clicking the link below.

Do not hesitate to ask any questions we are all glad to help!

I bought this car in January 2013. I was looking for a suitable car for a few years until I found this.
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxV...it?usp=sharing
The car is shipped to Finland in April 2012.
The seller was planning to make this a convertible, if he does not get the car sold. I do not know the reason for the sale.
The seller had cleaned the carburetor and put the ignition wires correctly. After that the car started. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PW4RyP422Y
My idea is to first make the car in running order. What then remains to be seen. Finnish winters are long ...

Hi Marcelo! That is great! It sounded pretty good too! Do you know if he is a member of our Forum? If not, if you know how to contact him, please let him know about us and that we can help him troubleshoot and restore her.

I came across this video on youtube. Looks like my old '58 ended up in Finland and the new owner has brought her back to life.

I've bought enough squarebirds over the years to know that the rust that's visible to the naked eye is at least twice as bad when you start digging into it. I'm glad he can do the work himself because if he had to pay someone it would be more than the car is worth.

In this case the buyer was made well aware of the condition. Considering what he paid for the car and that he will be doing the metal fabrication himself, I think it値l work out well for him in the end.

It's amazing to me how many people in the Southwest buy old cars from the Northeast. I don't think they have any idea what they are getting into.

Today was a bittersweet day. I知 sad to see the 58, a car that I had high hopes for go, but I知 happy that she is going to a new home that will give her the attention she deserves. She痴 headed for Houston, TX and the new owner is very excited to have her.

I知 not going anywhere. I may not be as active for a while now that I don稚 have an ongoing project anymore, but I値l still be lurking and hunting for my next squarebird.

Like Arnold said in the Terminator movies: "I'll be back..."
