    1957 Fuel Pump Repair Kit

I have a friend who has a 1957 D Code Little Bird with a leaking fuel pump. He is looking for a repair kit for it. Did the '57 come with just one model of fuel pumps or were there more than one? If so, how can he tell the difference? Who sells repair kits for it that he can quickly get and get his Bird back on the road?

    Ray,

In order to get the correct kit or figure out if there is one available he needs to find out what pump he has. The model number is usually stenciled on the side of the mounting flange. It's a four digit number; e.g. 4486, 3461. Since his pump probably has been changed numerous times over the years there's no way to tell what he has currently just by looking. There are a number of aftermarket pumps that will fit his 312 engine including the same ones that fit a Squarebird. This place is the only one I know of that has new rebuild kits listed but you need to know the number. https://www.then-now-auto.com/produc...uel-pump-kits/
