  • Uploading PIX To The Server....

If you are a Paid Member, there are 3 ways of uploading photos directly onto our Server. Here is how you do it.

In the course of a discussion that Dave ~ simplyconnected and I were having tonight, I discovered something that I did not know about. You will notice that Dave often puts text in his posts, followed by an photo or photo's of what he is talking about. Followed, perhaps by more comments and more photos.

We were discussing the various ways of uploading photos to the Forum. I told him that I usually use the Camera icon next to the Paper Clip above the Text block. That allows you to upload your pix in a slide show format and just click on the Right Arrow to go to the next picture. You can load one picture after another that way into a slide show.

Or you can click on the Upload Attachments option below the Smiley Faces which will just upload them as attachments and you have to click on one at a time to view them.

Then Dave told me that when he wants to add text, and follow it with pix, then more text and more pix, he uses the Image icon. Right below the Camera and Paper Clip icons, you should see 12 blocks of various options for Text, Fonts, and many other options. In Block #8 you should see a Link and Unlink icon followed by a box with the Sun in it and a Mountain top. That is your Image Upload option that you can use to insert Pix into Text you are writing, as you write your post. Clicking on it will allow you to upload one pic at a time, or more, to your text as you type, IF you are a Paid Member of the Forum. Click on the Upload option, then Browse, to locate your graphic that you want to upload. Once you have it, click on Send it to the Server, then OK. It should upload that picture where you want it to go. Do this for each section of text that you want to show pix about it also as you post.

Next to the Image Icon is the Insert Video icon. That is how you can upload a video to the Forum by entering the video clip URL in it.

So for those of you who do not know those 3 options of uploading Pix, there ya go!

    • Technical Resource Library (TRL) Link Has Moved!
      by YellowRose
Dave and I just moved the Technical Resource Library link from where we had it on the Forum into the Green bar above the Forums. It is now located just to the left of Donate To Site, making it quickly accessible. It will take you right to the TRL. Secondly, if you want to see everyone's signature elements and pix, then select POSTS instead of Latest Activity. The latter does not show you the signature elements of each users posts. By using POSTS you can see and click on the TRL link in my and John...

    • Automated Paid Membership Renewal Email.
      by YellowRose
A few days (2-3) before your Paid Membership is about to expire the System is supposed to generate an automatic email to the email address that you joined the Forum with to remind you that your Paid Membership is about to expire. IF someone has changed email addresses and NOT changed that email address in their user id, then the System will send that email to an address that is no longer used and no one will see it. Unless they go back and check that old email address. If you wish to continue your...

    • Viewing The Advertisement Forum in Ascending Order By Title...
      by YellowRose
When viewing the Advertisement Forum our vBulletin software now seems to revert it from the format we used to view it as. It now shows it as: Time - All Time, Show - All, Sort By - Date - last update, and order - Descending.

To change that, click on the Filter drop down and change only Sort By to - Title, and Order from Descending to Ascending. As you click on Title, it will re-sort it quickly and then after clicking on Ascending, it will resort it again and put it all in the alphabetical...

    • Selecting An Avatar!
      by YellowRose
I see that many of you have never gotten around to selecting an Avatar for your User ID. You should be able to do so by clicking on your User Id. Down at the bottom of it, you should see the Edit Settings button. Clicking on it should take you to the ability to select an Avatar. There are a good number of Canned Avatar's to select. Pick one and install it and you should be able to see your new Avatar instead of that grayed out blank. If you have a Canned Avatar or a Custom Avatar you want to use,...
