Default Manual vs Power Steering Parts?

For someone with a great deal of experience on Squarebirds, can you tell me what the key differences in parts would be, between a power steering and manual steering version?

This is, of course, aside from the peripherals such as power steering pump, hoses, belts and all that.

Put differently, if you stripped the peripherals off of a power steering version car, you would still not, I believe, have a manual steering car. Not a properly functioning one, anyway.

What core parts would be different? gearbox? other?

The only main differences are the drag link and the idler arm and bracket. The steering box is the same.

I am curious about this as well. Has anyone removed all the power steering and gone manual?

I am at the point of rebuilding my front end and am not excited about putting all the power steering components back in. In a perfect world I would go Rack and Pinion... but I am not confident I could pull it off... yet.
