Default 59 Bird # of fan blades?

I noticed on my 59 Bird that it equiped with a four blade fan. Was the original not a 5 blade fan? I seem to remember that a 5 blade version was on my 60 Bird. Comments?
Frank.

The Search utility leaves something to be desired. If you put in "fan" it punts on it and says you can't use words with less than 4 letters. I wish I knew what software genius coded in that criteria! I often have occasion to look for things with 3 or less letters.

Anyway . . . 4 blades is correct. If you are a stickler for originality, go with that. If you want to improve your cooling capability, dig up a 6 blade fan from that era - a cheap and easy upgrade. The cooling systems on these old cars are marginal at best. Of course all this depends on where you live and what your driving conditions are.

While you are researching, see what color your fan is supposed to be for your year and # of blades. It seemed to have varied some, with both white and black used.
