Pretty sure the '59 horn ring center is black. White was '60 only. Mine is original to my knowledge...

The center medallion for 58 and 59 are black. 59 had black gunsight medallions to match. I exchanged my black one for one out of a 60 that was in much better shape than mine. Thunderbird Headquarter's catolog also lists 58 & 59 as black.

Default A Squarebird Oddity?!

I was wrong about the horn insert. It shuld be black, according to the VTCI OFS, as is the background for the '58-'59 gun sights for these two years.

Still a pretty nice set up. To clarify the gunnel sites for the various years. 58 chrome, clear face and gold ball in center; 59 chrome, black face and tbird in center;60 chrome, oval, clear face tbird in center.

A couple of interesting things I saw in the eBay listing. It has the rear deck antenna and the lower A arms in the front suspension appear to be painted red! I wonder if that's original? Why would someone repaint the A arms and why red?
