Default Forum suggestion... question

Say Ray.... was wondering if adding a section for PC help/questions would be welcome..or maybe to use an area already set-up to assist someone with any questions or guidance issues....

Cool Pc Help / Questions

Cathie in these cases, it is better to use the PM e-mail function of the site to help the member(s) walk through the procedure, as you have done. This also provides direct dialougue between the parties involved, to complete the task between themselves successfully.

I had thought of that option, yes...but then thought someone else might be faced with the same or similar issue and are just not comfortable speaking up about it...
another thought was that just anyone isn't going to know to PM any certain person to ask about PC stuff, or forum help, outside of Ray...since he's the first person of contact...

It could be a subsection of say web announcements, kinda like the trading post is under the for sale thread...

just a thought....

The off road group I am a member of, Oregon BushHackers got its name when it was started by 5 computer geeks that were into 4 wheeling. "bush" for the outdoors in them and "hacker" for the computer geek part. In that group a computer issue is not totally look upon as an OT subject. A lot of people on that list are computer savvy, there are software people, programers and engineers that are willing to help members thru problems. But 99% of the talk is offroad/mechanical related so the computer stuff does not come up that often.

All very well and good, however this forum has MANY members that are NOT programmers or the likes there of, and sometimes PC issues arise...also questions about the forum rules for allowable sizes on pix and such..... ALL the other forums I am on have a PC section; whether its yer own pc or issues with the board/forum itself....

This is simply an assistance area for computer or forum questions.
