Default Beige leather interior

Hi Richard,

External Color Code M is Corinthian White... I will attach a color code chart for the 1960 Tbirds under this. So now we know that Corinthian White was also one of the external colors that you could get the Trim Code 84 in. Here is a website that might be of good use to you. Automotive Mile Posts has information on the Tbirds and other makes of cars. This is the link to the '60 Tbird. On the left side you can check out things like the engine information on your '60, paint codes, interior trim, and more. I use it a lot.

http://automotivemileposts.com/tbird...lections.shtml

If you want your Tbird to be original, then you are half way there. You will not have to change the external paint color since Color Code M is Corinthian White. She might need a new paint job, depending on how it is looking on her now. As for the interior, if you want to put her back in original condition, then you would have to have the dark beige and light beige leather interior installed. The web page above tells you which interior parts of the car was done in dark beige and which in light beige. Mainly, the seats were light beige. If you like the interior color scheme the way it is, and it is in very good condition, you can leave it as it is. It is your decision as to what you want to do with her.

Here is the color code chart for your '60 Tbird.

Thanks Ray,
That's what I was afraid of. All the interior is new, seat covers, carpet, headliner, dash cover etc... I wanted to replace all of it with leather anyway, I just did not want to change color. But I want to keep her original as possible. Thanks for all your help, I'm sure we will be talking again soon. THIS WEB SITE IS AWSOME AND YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

Our Tami Tbird is M color with the 84 interior as described in this thread. If I had a hi-speed ISP connection I could post a photo of our car. If someone wants to see her, send me a PM and I'll try to show you. However we are gone on Vacation very shortly and be away from Computerland until the end of the month.

Richard, PM is short for personal message. Within this forum we can communicate between one another and not have it part of the public forum, it's the forum's version of e-mail.

Hi Jay,

Your picture did not show that you tried to post. If you have not left yet, you can email it to me at rayclark07@gmail.com and I can post it for you. And as far as I know, Jay is not from Kaintucky!

Here is the picture that Jay sent me. Also some of his comments. First the comments.

"Nope, been an Iowegian all my life minus my service to the USAF. BTW, the local High School teams are the Wildcats and I was born on the 15th of a month."

In the picture, you will see the darker beige of the dashpad, and center console, though that has some shadow on it making it look darker. The seats are light beige, though they look white. But look at the steering wheel and open insides of the door and you will see the difference. The seats look white, but they are supposed to be light beige. Here is the picture.

Jay, great looking interior, very eye-catching.

Recently, there was a 60 convert on ebay that had a total color change to blue. The data plate decoded to gray body with beige leather interior, that sounds like a great combination, shame someone changed it.
