Default 1962 ball joints source

Hi,
I'm looking for upper and lower ball joints for my '62 Tbird hardtop.
Although price is a factor I don't want cheap junk, and the supplier would be asked to ship to New Zealand.
Any reputable companies that any of you could recommend please?
I've looked at both Macs and Larry's (and have had good dealings with both), but am wondering if there are any other sources.
Thanks
Alistair

I've used The Birds Nest (www.tbirdparts.com) and Tbirds by Nick (http://www.t-birdsbynick.com/) for almost all of my restoration work on my 62 Hardtop and the 63 Sports Roadster I am doing right now.

I highly recommend both of them. I got almost all of my suspension rubber from Birdsnest.

Take a look at Kanter Auto Products. That is who I am probably going to buy my parts from because they are cheaper. But they have good quality parts, I am told. Check out www.kanter.com
On page 10 of their catalog, you will find their front end rebuild kits listed. On page 12 you will find the deluxe front end rebuild kits listed. Your car is listed there under the 61-66 Tbirds.

Thanks Ray!

Had a look at kanter. the kit is $329, or if I get the four ball joints only it's $260 plus freight.

I got quoted NZ$675 (US$530) for just the four ball joints plus freight locally in New Zealand, so that's a great link.

Cheers
Alistair

Hi Alistair!

I am glad that information is a help to you. It sounds like you can save a considerable chunk of change by going with Kanter. As I recall, Bart has the Kanter front end kit on his '60 Tbird and is pleased with it. Kanter, I am told, is a very good company with very good products. Should you order from them, ask them to put one of their catalogs in the box.

Best Birding!
