Thanks, all. I figured no one made them. I had thought of using LED's that plugged into the original socket, but liked the idea of having a unique look, too. Also thought if I built my own I could incorporate the reverse light and make it an isolated circuit. Just a thought. Anyway, thank you for the info, all food for thought. Never even thought about the different flasher...

I like the idea of LED instrument panel lights. I would think these aren't dimmable, but who's dimming their instrument panel lights on these cars anyway? Unlike today's cars that use electroluminescent lighting, the Squarebird needs all the help it can get. Other downside: LEDs degrade over time, albeit a long time.

I am sing green LEDs in my instrument panel for all the lights, even the radio, heater and shift indicator. They're not dimmable but don't need to be. The look is pretty cool. I tried to find red, to match the interior color but didn't find any, but the green looks pretty retro so...

I probably wasn't clear. Not that anyone would want to do it but me, but just to answer the question.
The clear 921 lights in reverse because it's wired to the reverse circuit, as stock. The red LED is wired to the neighboring taillight circuit. Two bulbs. Two sockets. Two circuits. A 921 bulb it the kind that just pushes into a socket. So it's compact and both have room behind the lens.
I'm thinking I'd like to take a better look at the round tractor/trailer led taillights containing 12-16 LEDs in a cluster for use behind the 1960 lens. Might work.

Oh, I forgot to say, I've tried the 1157 taillight replacement LEDs (that just plug into the standard socket, one-for-one) in other cars, and they just don't get it. All you get is one bright spot because light doesn't radiate in all directions to fill the lens evenly like an incandescent bulb. That's what I think the truck cluster taillight that has the little bubble lens on each LED might do.
