Default Length of front brake hoses?

I'm continuing replacing the brake system on my 1960 Thunderbird and noticed that the new front rubber brake lines are about an inch shorter than the existing lines (the existing lines are replacement dated 1998). I bought my new lines from Rock Auto and they are Raybestos part number BH 29709. I did quite a few searches and did not find any information on the proper length for that hose. Does any one know what the length should be?

The Ford parts book shows 14 1/4". The Raybestos book shows that hose as 14".
