What about all those cars that wouldn't SHUT OFF???

This burns my @$$. For over 100 years automakers had a good system for shutting off the car. It worked flawlessly until some idiot allowed a relay contact to control the ignition.

Relay contacts can and do stick in the closed position. Key switches NEVER stick. - Dave
