I have removed the continental kit from my 59 convertible, and I am trying to determine if it is a Ford kit or one from Continental Enterprises or another aftermarket manufacturer before I advertise it for sale. On the inside of the "horse shoe shaped" bumper extension, that faces the car, at about the height of the top of the license plate, there is a number stamped in the metal reading "58 60 TB 2". Just wondered if anyone with a receipt for one has seen this number or noticed it on the inside of your bumper extension? I doubt it is a Ford parts number, but don't know. I will likely advertise it in our local chapter of VTCI first to see if anyone in NE Illinois or SE Wisconsin is interested. (Prefer not to ship it if possible).

Continental Kit Owners-Question
Jim, Sam said to tell you that it is their continental kit. He received your query but has been out of pocket. He said their continental kit is an exact copy of the Ford OEM one, and that is his company's stamping on your kit.

Continental Kit Owners-Question
Thanks for the information about the article in the Scoop! I did not know it was in it, and I have not received mine yet. That was from our May Car Show/Toy/Stuffed Animal drive we held at a local Ford dealership. I gather the pix are of me, the Ford rep, and the two Children's Hospital employees we were turning the goodies over to. I will be gone most of the day tomorrow morning as we are doing it again for a different Children's hospital. I spent the morning gussying up Rose to have her read to strut her stuff in the morning. I spent several hours working on her and I am feeling it. From that and a week of brush cutting in the backyard and the front!
