Default Shop Projects Not t-bird related

I thought I would post some off topic stuff I have been doing. I do this small stuff to give me a break from a big job like the bird.

Some fenders that started life as single axle trailer fenders. Cut down with some detail work added with a bead roller and some tombstone tail lights added. The fenders had to be worked a bit to get them to fit.

A 34 chevy grille with a salt flat look. I'm curious if it will overheat on the street.

My personal car is a '40 ford coupe. I've made every rust repair panel on the car, except this back panel. No better than it fit I should have tried making it too.

I got it massaged enough it now fits. I leaded the seams on it because of the stress of the trunk lid shutting against it. Probably over kill, but I hardly have enough time to work on it, wont have time to do it over if it fails.

1910 Maxwell fenders I made all four. I received a left front and a right rear. Made patterns off of them and then turned them inside out to make the right front and the left rear. Rough and rusty.

"Small stuff" eh?

It is neat to see how things like the louvers are put in and the raised area for the tail lights.

It really is a skillful art.

I think most of us enjoy seeing the progress of even "small stuff"!

Post whenever you can.

1927 Whippet door pull. The owner brought me a real rusted one for a sample. I made a simple die and pressed it out then made the surrounding part and welded it together.
