Windshield Wiper Well Trim

I am reassembling a1960 SR (finally). The cowl trim covers that go around the windshield wiper shafts have a small hole that I think is for a screw. However I cannot find a screw hole in the body of the vehicle. All I see is a large hole at the bottom of the opening in the body which I believe is a drain. Maybe I painted over the screw hole for the trim piece. Could someone pull one of theirs and let me know where the screw hole belongs?

While you are at it will you measure the length of the screw.

Hey Kevin,
Here is a diagram of windshield and cowl area! If there is a hole on each side I believe it would be for the windshield washer squirter!

You are talking about the plastic cups that fit around the wiper shaft....(mine are black)

I think its just a drain hole so water cant sit in them.

Dakota-Boy is correct. The small hole is for drainage. The covers are held in place by the round bolts that go around the wiper shaft. By the way the covers are metal, not plastic.
